Privacy policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
The short version
Your data belongs to you. We collect what ResetHive needs to run, we do not sell or rent your data, and you can export or delete your account data from your account page.
What we collect
- Login email: used for magic-link sign-in and account support. It is not shown publicly or used as your community identity.
- Recovery data: optional daily reflections, mood, urge logs (including intensity, trigger, and an optional note), support chats, and tracker start date. Stored behind your account and not shown publicly.
- Community posts and replies: content you choose to share with the community. These posts and replies use your community identity, not your login email.
- Profile info: username, country, language, gender identity, preferred resource topics, and notification preferences chosen by you.
Tracking
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, retargeting, ad networks, third-party analytics cookies, or any other form of tracking. There are no ads on ResetHive.
Where data is stored
Account, recovery, and community data is stored in Supabase. Data is transmitted over HTTPS, protected by row-level security, and sensitive free-text content is stored encrypted. More detail is available on the Security page.
Service providers and data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. We use service providers to run ResetHive, including Supabase for account, recovery, and community storage; Resend for sign-in and service emails; and OpenAI for community moderation, language detection, and translation.
OpenAI processing for moderation, language detection, and translation is limited to community posts and replies you choose to submit. Private recovery data, including daily reflections, urge logs, and support chat messages, is not sent to OpenAI for community moderation or translation. OpenAI API requests are made from the server and configured with store: false where supported, though OpenAI may retain limited abuse-monitoring logs under its API data policies.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and personal data from your account page, including daily reflections, urge logs, support chat messages, profile details, and community post and reply text. Deleted community threads may keep empty placeholders so existing conversations do not break. Deletion removes active ResetHive records immediately; service providers may retain limited security or operational logs according to their own policies.
Minors and public articles
Public articles may be read without an account, including by teenagers. ResetHive accounts, private recovery tools, and the Hive are only for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect or store account, recovery, or community data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor created an account or submitted data, we will restrict the account and delete the associated data. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
